What’s the best material for menu covers?

  • After a few years in the restaurant business, I’ve learned that even small details like menu covers can have a big impact on how customers perceive the place. My current ones are getting pretty worn out, and I’m thinking about upgrading. The challenge is finding something that’s both elegant and long-lasting, especially with how often menus are handled. Has anyone found a material or supplier that really stands the test of time? I want something stylish but practical—any insights?

  • Leather: Classic and elegant, leather offers both durability and a sophisticated look. It's easy to clean and can withstand frequent handling, though it might require some maintenance to prevent wear and tear over time.

Vinyl: A more affordable alternative to leather, vinyl can mimic the look of leather and is highly durable, easy to clean, and water-resistant. It's a great option for high-traffic restaurants.

Wood: Wooden menu covers, especially those made from high-quality wood like walnut or bamboo, can add a rustic or upscale touch. However, they may require more care to maintain and can be prone to scratches.
