New 12V 100Ah battery not charging

  • Hi,

I have a setup with 1 solar panel of 200W (max 40V) a Victron Bluesolar 75/15 MPPT charge controller and an Eco-Worthy 100Ah battery with Bluetooth

Due to some shading and autumn, the solar panel rarely delivers more than 10-20 Watt

On the Victron it is visible that ther is around 1 A of charging current towards the battery, but on the app of the battery, the power remains 0 Watts and after a couple of days, it is still at 38 Ah, like it was delivered.

The Victron is programmed on a bulk charging voltage of max 14,6, but for now, the actual voltage of the battery is around 13,29 V

Is there a minimum power needed before the battery starts charging?

  • Solved it myself by moving the solar panel some 30 meters further away, but on a location that doesn't have shading from trees.

A couple of days later, both batteries are fully charged.

I assume power must be at least 10W per battery to start charging and it would have been nice if this was printed in the spec.
