I got 2 of the 280 ah batteries. I wish I would have waited for the Bluetooth models.

Fantazy come true

I have three of these batteries in my solar collector system - and not enough (yet) panels to keep them fully charged in my off-grid project. My plan is to accumulate enough batteries and panels (bi-facial) to see me through an entire week of stormy weather. With over 9000 Ah worth of batteries and over 9000 watts of panels, the batteries only charge to 12.8 volts --- However, if I go back on grid and leave the system to charge up, I've seen the desired 14.4 peak - or full charge. When back on full solar, our large (35') RV runs without any issues. The microwave oven pulls the charge down a bit, but the batteries recover quickly. So far (about 5 weeks now) the only "issue" is an occasional "blink" of the lights late at night. The gas heater requires 12 VDC for the blower but the electric blankets require 120 VAC - - some of the lights are 12 VDC and some are 120 VAC - but so far, as I said, the only "issue" is once in a while the AC lights blink briefly. (I'm using a 5,000 watt inverter). I have two more panels ready to hook up, but am waiting on a new charge controller - with luck I'll get full charge - SO,it's a matter of more batteries and more panels as fast as my income will allow - at 82 years of age, and a life time of experience in electronics, I've "see it all" and continue to marvel as the technology advances. My only concern is that the rapid advancement of the Solar industry my out-pace my ability to afford to incorporate the changes into my life.
